Bonnevoie, attic conversion

Attic conversion

Demonstrating the versatility of our services, this project was partly managed by us and finalised by the client in financially restricted phases. Coordinating and overseeing the planning process until construction plans were available, permits obtained and all necessary structural and longevity checks completed we proceeded to manage the roof alterations. Large dormer windows to the front and Juliet balcony windows full length of the property to the rear turned the storage room attic space into a liveable and comfortable environment, complemented by two Velux windows so as to divide the space into separate rooms with windows in each. Solar panels were installed together with a new boiler to heat all radiators in the house. Internal and external wood fibre insulation was used to improve the energy efficiency of the building and obtain maximum subsidiaries, provided by the state for applying renewable materials. The permit was obtained to install a new mezzanine floor, extended habitable living area, new kitchen and additional bathroom, which the client proceeded to manage, with intervals, from the internal fittings onwards so as to remain within budget.
